In fact wasn't it actually mandatory in some cases? > ***And I know that some here see my marital choices in less that > glowing terms, by the way. I am fine with your judgment. Karl, I don't know enough of your situation to judge you. And even if I did, it would only be as an armchair quarterback who hasn't had to deal with the things you have. And even if that wasn't so, I would be in danger of judgement myself. But that said, I had to take what I perceived as your disparagement of traditional marriage with a grain of salt. ***I have nothing but the utmost respect for those who make marriage work the way I think it should, including most here. But there are others with less stellar track records, and sometimes you sound a bit preachy. Just saying. Regardless, my point about traditional marriage was a generalization of our societal norm, including in the church, that marriage is disposable subject to re-dos until you get it right. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
