In that case, than the per mile tax to support the road infrastructure should be something you support. After all, regardless of how the car is powered, if its wheels are on the road, it is a drain on the infrastructure. So if you tax any, you must tax all equally *if* your justification is to make everyone share the burden according to their use. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Bruce Geerdes Sent: Friday, May 06, 2011 9:24 AM To: DADL (off topic) Subject: Re: [DADL-OT] This is what scares me more than anything On Fri, May 6, 2011 at 10:04 AM, Mike Findlay <[email protected]>wrote: > If the transportation infrastructure needs more money reorganize the > obscenely bloated federal budget that already exists. Not necessarily! I think each part of society should pay its way. All I care about is transportation and whether it is paying its way. Social security, medicare, defense and everything else are completely different subjects. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
