A gas tax could encourage one to get a more efficient vehicle regardless of
how many miles you put on it. Mile tax makes the efficient of a vehicle less
of an issue.


**not really, the gas taxes will not disappear in response to the use tax
will they?   So they gas uses still get the punishment they deserve.  The
efficient users just get treated fairly.

So, Karl, I guess you're in favor of this mile tax?

**not really.  I am not in favor of any new taxes until they reign in
spending.  I just wonder why you are not.  And I have my answer.  You want
efficient vehicles to get a cushy deal as a reward for good behavior.
