That's not the way I came at it. I'm okay with the status quo as long as it
benefits more efficient vehicles. I'm not a personal fan of battery powered
vehicles as I'm concerned about the effect battery production has on the
environment.

**well, then as I noted, since the gas tax still hits gas users, and the
efficient vehicles keep their tax breaks, the status quo is being kept when
they tax ALL vehicles per mile without regard to engine type.  So even if I
do not support said tax, I cannot understand how you do not since it
violates nothing you support.
