Ah, but did Palin know that no one knew?  No.

And when Gibson *did* offer a definition, Palin's response betrayed her
ignorance, too.  I'm not even sure that her response made sense in relation
to what Gibson actually said.

I do, however, have a problem with someone who isn't ready for the job
actually *taking* the job in the first place.

I think their primary fear here -- at first -- was that Palin would siphon
female voters away from Obama, who had just defeated Hillary Clinton in the
Democratic primaries.
