As I recall, Palin made significant use of the word "imminent" in her 
response.  But as we all know, kind of the whole *point* of the Bush 
doctrine -- however we define it -- is that Bush didn't sit around waiting 
for threats to become "imminent".  So Palin's answer was a non-answer.

Biden, at least, is ready to deal with the savagery.  Obama, though, I 
grant you, might not be.

If memory serves, he even *got* a bump there, at first.  (But not a baby 
bump.  Don't want to encourage any more birthers or Trig truthers.)
