Without being paid?  I haven't looked at the Hippocratic oath in a long time but 
I'm relatively confident it doesn't require doctors to give their services for 
free and it certainly isn't currently interpreted that way.  Nor is it 
interpreted such that dr.s are prohibited from declining patients or being 
forced to treat patients against their will.
