I heard of Obama during the 2004 election cycle when he delivered the
keynote at the DC convention.

They praised his rising star and I predicted to my friends that he would be
the front runner in 2008.

The first time I ever heard of Clinton, it was on the cover of the National
Enquirer.  I would have been 20 or 21 at the time (depending on how early in
the campaign the Gennifer Flowers thing came up).

I wonder when I first heard of Barack Obama.  Might have been when there was
that Rolling Stone cover story on him.
