The reason they went all science-fictiony here is because they need to integrate Thor into the rest of the Marvel universe, which, as far as the movies are concerned at least, is dominated by the science-lab origins of Iron Man, Hulk, etc. >> I mean, would *The King's Speech* or *Black Swan* have made any sense >> in 3D? Actually, Black Swan was already so over-the-top that 3D might not have hurt it, depending on how it was used.
