iPhone Syncing

Anyone know of a good, plain-language guide to syncing an iPhone? And I mean one that doesn't assume you already know what syncing means? I've plugged my iPhone in for the first time, it opened up iTunes, and I can select what sorts of things I want to sync. But when I click on, say, "Apps," I get a warning saying, "Hey, we're gonna go ahead and erase all the apps from your phone and replace them with the apps from this iTunes library, mm-kay?" Well, no. I don't want my apps wiped out. And I don't want them replaced with apps from my iTunes library, since, as far as I know, I don't *have* any apps in my iTunes library. What to do, what to do? I've tried Googling for help, but all I can find it step-by-step instructions on *how* to sync, rather than a sort of universal explanation of what syncing is, what it does, and how it works. Anyone have any advice or ideas? -- -pcg [email protected] -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
