Yes.  I suppose he thinks he is correcting what he has the power to  
correct.

How about the lunacy of omission?  Someone who's name is behind a 5  
volume set with titles  "A Christian view of...." or who wrote "A  
Christian Manifesto" I would expect should explore at least a cursory  
examination of Christian history.  A foremost apologist for the modern  
Christian west, yet never spoke of the Christian east or even  
acknowledged that issues in the modern day church have historical  
precedent.

His personal experience is probably the best evidence we'll be able to  
get.  Perhaps he held back certain details.

You might also want to consider reading his book "Portofino" which  
appears to be at least partially biographical and describes some  
typical evangelical interactions between mother and son, and father  
and son, and sisters and son.

We'll he certainly turned me on to Christian philosophy and deeper  
thinking.  But any of my interest in history can be attributed largely  
to Frank himself.
