And I'm not being facetious here. I have literal science texts used by lots of homeschoolers here in Texas that quote scriptures in the chapters on evolution and others to dispute scientific claims. It is downright silly and embarrassing in my opinion. (and dare I say deserving of some mockery?!) There is a creationist museum near here that is laughable if it weren't so sad. I spent an hour in it and was disgusted. It is right down the road from a creekbed with dinosaur footprints embedded in it. (and the sad thing is that probably over half of my Facebook friends and family think it is the best thing in the world.) Maybe I've lived in Texas too long, but I'm so very tired of ignorance. And I'm tired of accommodating it.
