Well, my wow is in regards to the movie more than the review. The AV Club tends 
to be rather snarky in their "newswire" section, so it didn't startle me as much 
as the idea of the movie. It does seem to deal with some of the issues raised 
here on the list, especially the "rife with religious metaphor" and seeing 
herself as a martyr. But I suppose my wow is astonishment that this film was 
actually made. I can't imagine those that don't already love her will see this, 
so I'm not sure what the point of making it is. Those they are trying to 
convince she's been persecuted won't see it and will only enflame her 
supporters. Maybe that's the point, then - to pump up the base so they'll push 
her through the primaries or something. 


Admittedly, I am not a fan of Palin and am tired of the coverage of her. This 
will only add fuel to a fire that should have burned out long ago.
