I know exactly what the word means and both sides use it all the time. In this instance though you and your compadres on the left are using it to block any meaningful reform of medicare/caid because any reform is going to cause discomfort and your side is invested in convincing far too many people that the govt. can solve all their problems and do so in a completely painless way. That's how your side gets votes - by selling the lie that you can have something for nothing. Mike F.
