True, but in most of the "TSA assholes" stories I have been reading, the
cops do what they are told far too often.

We need a boycott of the industry.

Not necessarily, and if multiple people did it that would make arresting
everyone even more difficult.  As hard as I am on the police,  get the sense
that they, generally speaking, thing the TSA is just as stupid as the rest
of us.  There is also the tension between local cops and federal security
guards that works in "our" favor.

Calling the police only gets you arrested.  As I said, I see the danger in
banning certain things, but I am in way defending the utter idiocy of some
of their actions.

This one really gets to me.  It is obvious that those parents care and love
for their special needs child and a large part of that probably involves
protecting him and shielding him from some of the crueler things in this
world.  Sometimes that is probably impossible to do completely so they fill
the gap with love and comforting.  To put that child and these parents in a
situation where they are unable to provide either of those things, (I'm
gathering they were not allowed to touch or effectively communicate with him
while he was being checked.), I mean how do you explain that stupidity to a
mentally challenged kid, let alone a fully competent adult. 


This one bothers me even more than the kid ones, probably because of the
parents perspective.  I look at that video and realize that those parents
live with the reality that in all likelihood their son will outlive them,
and it must tear them up to worry/fear for how he will be cared for when
they are gone.  To add to that with such banal stupidity in the name of
security is beyond my comprehension.  At what point does one of these TSA
employees say "I'm not following those orders".?  At what point do those of
us in line speak up and ask out loud what is wrong with the people
conducting such banality?  I realize if just one person does it they may get
detained/arrested, but what if everyone did did it, or at least enough to
shut the security lane down for a few minutes.  Or if everyone called
911/local police to report a crime being committed?  


We are fucking sheep and I do my own share of bleating because of what I
fear it will cost me.  


We don't deserve the freedom we complain they are taking from us.

point in offering free wifi to passengers or anything, then.  It's not like
