Re: sigh

Apparently I was on double top secret probation.  I was just banned.  They
accused me of a conspiracy with a new member.

 

Seems some guy always asks obvious questions, and one of the mods snapped at
him to do google next time.  I ignored it.  Another member objected to the
public shame of it.  Another mod posted a long FAQ/FYI on how to google
search.

 

I defended the 1st Mod as the accusation was unfair, it was not like him to
be snarky.   My post was held and deleted, *with thanks* by the mods for
defending them.  That's how I found out I was on moderation.

 

I acknowledged them but admitted I wish they had taken it offline.  I was
then treated to an abusive reply about what a pain in the ass the OP was,
how they were sick of going off line with him and how they were the best to
decide how mean to get, so he and other would learn.

 

And then they started in on me because I objected to being moderated.  I had
no idea I was the anti Christ.  I have rarely posted there for the last few
months and when I did, I was careful to toe the line because they have been
more and more militant about the rules and off topics.

 

Bruce..I heartily apologize for ever thinking you were a b ad moderator.
Not that I did, but you know..

 

The conspiracy.  Apparently the guy that objected, who was only a member for
about 3 months, was either me or my compadre and this was a conspiracy
against their power.  I love it.

 

In a way it is disappointing, that a couple of guys would cling so
petulantly to their own power, but also, in a sense, it is cleansing,
because that group was really a struggle.  I like discussing music, but
honestly, it was not easy putting up with so many whiners.  

 

The group reminded me so much of my childhood church.  Sigh.

 

Some Christians deserve how the world sees them.

My turn to lament my experiences in the land of the easily butt hurt.

 

I am a member of a Yahoo group that discusses Christian music.  The
moderators there are the most nazi like bunch of nimrods I have ever seen.
Ban and place people in moderation for the slightest offense, including me,
yet allow the privileged few to get away with any rude behavior they want.

 

All in the name of Christ.
