To a point, yeah.  But some of my film-buff / film-critic friends use 
Twitter to post quick reviews of everything they see, and only 
occasionally post their thoughts in a more "permanent" format.  If you 
want to point other people to their thoughts, you have to point them to 
those people's statuses ... and the Twitter archives are notoriously 
difficult to search, much less to sort out.  (It's only in recent months, 
if not weeks, that Twitter has begun linking "replies" to the posts that 
are being replied to... but even then, it can still be difficult to follow 
a conversation if people aren't explicitly hitting the "Reply" button.)
