I've got a set of old patent applied for DiMarzio's that I was at one point going to install in my fretless SX jazz clone. I've heard a number of folks talk about how good they were. Unlike the stacked humbuckers, these are a hot single coil design, so I'd assume they aren't "noiseless,"

I just installed these pick-ups on my Fender 75 Jazz bass. Wow , what great pick-ups. I read

an article a while back , in a bass player magazine about, a bass pick-up shoot out, & these

pick-ups where rated very highly. So I gave them a shot . The set ran me, 105.00 with tax.

These pick-ups are great : wonderful full tone , nice clean highs, great mids {nice & growly} ,

with a nice full rounded bottom end. They're a stacked hum-bucker with absolutely no noise

at all , & all the tone , you could ever want. They're great for using a pick with , or just your

fingers . They're also great for slapping , & tapping. I would highly recommend these pick-

ups to any body , thats looking to improve the tone of their bass.
