Re: DIMARZIO DP149 pickups

--From my own experience, with Barts, which, I do love there pick-ups , & there pre-
amps { I've always used there soap-bar bass pick-ups}. To me , they've always, seemed to 
need a pre-amp to really tame them  , otherwise , [just my opinion] they've always 
seemed too dark , for my needs. Now recently, I played a 5 string Human Bass  at this 
music store in the bay area , in Northern Ca.  I was really impressed with this bass. It had 
Delaneo Pick-ups , & a Glockenlang pre-amp, I hope I'm spelling this right. What a great 
bass [ oh the tones , I could coax out of that bass} . The price was only 1350.00 the body 
is swamp ash . It's a very well constructed instrument , & light. There made in Germany , & 
assembled in Orange County Ca. If anybody out there is looking at getting a new bass in 
their future. I'd check these basses out.
