My G&L L2000 was built in 1985. It is one of the Mahogany bodied versions, and in addition to it being built like a tank, it weighs about the same as well. It definitely lets you know that it has been hanging around your neck all night. I can only remember one other bass that I played that came close to its weight class, and that was an old Peavey T40.
