How would you rate that Avatar cabinet? A guitar player friend of mine used to have an Avatar 4x10 guitar cab that he really liked, but I've never known anyone who played bass using them.

Sorry
to hear that JollyR
I had an old B100 that i use for years and Loved it.
I had to give it back to the guitar player,
so since then i have bought 2 Mesas
a 6oo M-pulse for big stuff and my main amp
is a Walkabout, 13 lbs and about 170 "mesa watts" that
sounds great , use with a 2X10 avatar or a
1x15 mesa,
you won't be disappointed with Mesa,

Either way it can be fixed. I took it to my amp tech instead of an Ampeg repair shop, because I knew my guy would correct the problem that Ampeg created with their bad design problem, so as it would never happen again. Apparently since LOUD took over Ampeg the QC has gone down quit a bit. My Ampeg BA500 has not given me any problems, then again it's made in the USA & I got it before LOUD bought out Ampeg. If these amps ever take a crap, my next amps will be either Mesa Boogies or Mark Amps.
