As a retired Cleveland Policeman I would recommend nothing smaller then a .38. Shotguns are even better. Back in the early 60s (Years before I got on the job)) we used ti play this place with a country band that if ever their was a place that should have had chicken wire, that was it. And jin 1969, just after I got out in the Army, with the very same guys, we were doing the typical top 40 thing at another bucket of blood when the world's biggest fight broke out. There was a grand Piano there and we all jumpped under it and waited until the war died down. When the police finely got there we all went outside and founfd the back of the trunk lid of the drummer's Cutlass beat in and covered with blood. They had killed a guy by pounding his face into the back of Randy's car. Boy did he have a time explaining that one to the insurance company! The coppers towed his car for processing and as evidance too. He didn't get it back for over a month to boot. I'm too old for that shit any more though. We don't play at "those kind" of places thease days. In fact they are not too many places like that left anyway. The worst thig today to worry about is the drive by shooting cowards. Aperently they haven;t got the chomes it takes to stand toe to toe with an actual man. There a lot of snot balls that are alive today only because the electric chair scares me shitless! Having had my J forever I do feel sorry about somone loosing his baby, rhgough.(My J's name is Steve 'da'ol' SmokeDog in Cleveland ________________________________ From: Robert Smith <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 12:16:48 AM Subject: Re: [Bass Place] Which Bass do you find yourself using the most these days & why ? You carry a .32 to get paid for a gig, but gave a Lakland 5 string and Standard Jazz to your wife in a divorce? Hmm! OK. ;-) Rob Smith --- On Mon, 4/27/09, bassplaya04002 <bassplaya04002@ grouply.com> wrote: From: bassplaya04002 <bassplaya04002@ grouply.com> Subject: Re: [Bass Place] Which Bass do you find yourself using the most these days & why ?
