Re: Problems with my Ampeg B200R

--Good news, I just picked up my Ampeg B200R from my amp tech today. He fixed the problems  & showed me what happened to cause the problem. He said the amp design inside is a great design, but who ever designed the cabinet & mounting brackets, should be shot. There was two small flimsy brackets holding this big heavy transformer & nothing else, So he replaced the cheap broken brackets with some heavy duty brackets & added some extra support brackets just in case & also straightened out some other poor mfg. problems that would of came up sooner or later. Now the problems are solved & I'm very happy with my Ampeg. I've read where a lot of people complain about these amps rattling really badly & cracking the brackets that hold the transformer, then the amp craps out & Ampeg gets a crappy name
 , all because of LOUD & their crappy QC department. I found out, that if you buy one of these amps, you need to take it in to a good amp tech. Someone who knows about Ampegs. Have some of these issues fixed. Like my tech said it's a great amp design inside the amp. They just cut some conners on the cabinet & the bracket situation & a couple of other small things {an easy fix though} . I love this amp & its tone. I find it to be a great amp once the problems are fixed. Note: the repair cost me a 100.00 bucks. If I would of gone to an Ampeg service center { & it was still under warranty too}, they would of fixed the problem for free , but they would of just done a half ass stock repair & the problem would of showed back up again sooner or later. So I forked out my own money too have it rep
