Re: Old guy needs help with compressors

the piezo i bought and home brewed. next step build one more preamp and i should be there. .that and string deadner below the bridge.  BTW, i learned to play bass on a Kent  quasi mcartney beatle bass, didn't really look like a hofner but was close, then got a gib son EB3 - nice neck.. very quick..., Jack Bruce was a big influence, then a Rickenbacker 4001, then a p bass, though i really wanted a jazz bass, but couldn't afford it.. it was a very nice 70 usa, next built a bass, then the alembic in 78, and a japanese j bass,  got a tim landers peavey bass too.. sold it ..  the only basses i have held on to for at least a long while is the alembic, and the warick, i graduated to it from the carvin lb76. ..

That's around the time I sold my old beat up Kay M1 and picked up my J! I had mostly been playing an EB3 (that I still own) up till then. (Got a neck like a friggin telephone pole!)



Hey, You ever try an Ashbory? I've never even seen one in person but it looks like the toy size could be a real  ball buster on a job!



OH MAn!   I  left my bass out in the rain and it shrunk! Let's see if it still plays!

PS. Try running the piezo into a Lo Z XLR input on the PA.
