Hey, Did anybody check out the Harbor Freight stuff? The more I think about it the more I think I may just go with the "all in one" version. Both me and bandmates have actually had dead batterys and low tires when we left a gig. (Haven't we all?) I even read somewhere that a set of jumper cables is good to have in your "Misc. Equipment Box" all the time. That HF "5 way" thing might be a good thing to have around even if you never use it to run an amp. Later, Smokey Thank God the truck started Saturday Morning! It wasn’t the dental tool My Showman or Kustom is (Knocks fillings out of teeth) but you could tell their was a bass playing. It is more then enough to use with acoustics for sure. > >> > >>Now, It draws 70 watts max at full power (Which you need 75% of the time with drums playing!) but that’s just 600mA. That’s like 6 amps (5.833--- to be exact) > >> > >>Now, if you pull that amount of current for 4 hours you need a 24 AH (Amp Hour) Battery, but in 4 hours there will be a duty cycle where you are not playing at all between tunes and you also will not be on a full bore open A string the whole 4 hours either. When the amp is not producing, it doesn’t pull as much power either. > >> > >>Now, Check this,,,,, > >> > >>http://www.harborfr eight.com/ cpi/ctaf/ displayitem. taf?Itemnumber= 38391 > >> > >>18 AH = 3 hours at full power. I just might go that way and leave it in one piece and keep it with me at all times for emergencies and I can also use it when I want to go “unplugged” (from the wall anyway) > >> > >>Later, The SmokeDog. > >> > >>PS The gig Friday was pure hell. All noise and hair metal, but held my own. Wouldn’t even think of doing anything like that again, though. Hey, I owed a pal a favor. What was I going to do?
