Hey, Tune to Tune is right on the money,,,,Tha't whay I use 2 different basses in my main band. I may chang off 2 or 3 times in the same set. I really don't think there is ANY bass that is good for absolutly everything.

Batterywise, I know guitar players that get a year out of a battery (so they say). I have had my active for like 6 months now and it still is on the first battery but  I use my Fender J passive about 75% of the time and I put in an "on off" switch on the active and turn it off when I am not actually playing it.

The peramp on my active only pulls 2.01mA (Measured it with a DMM)  A standard 9V is rated at 400 mA Hours. That's like 100 hours of playing time. Alkalines are rated for even more and the Lithiums are even better. EMG even claims a 4000 Hr battery life. Like I said, I have know guitar players that claim they only change the battery once a year,,,

,,,,, but I guess I'll change mine before the next time I play out anyway just for GP.

Anybody want to buy a 6 month old 9V?

Steve

I have a bass with a battery cover that's held on by two phillips-head screws. That's not exactly convenient when you're in a hurry.
