Being I been retired from playing for 10 years, where are some good music cities

I use to hang out in NY and Philly, and now, I think those cities are not the same as they were 10 years ago. I been to Nashville, about 3 years ago, and I think it's a happening place for bass players. Is there any other places, that are musician friendly, I would like to know. I just want to groove again.
