One other thing about weight,,,, Remember I use an old Kustom K200 tuck and roll with 2=C2=A0JBL 15s in it= =C2=A0when I Play out. That SOB weighs a hundred pounds and=C2=A0we don't h= ave any roadies in=C2=A0either band. Now THAT would be a place for the NEOs= .=C2=A0 If only I wasn't so friggin hard headed!=20 Gang, You won't believe this one either,,,,=C2=A0For practice I use a 1980s= Radio Shack, =C2=A0Realistic 15" PA cabinet that weighs only about 30 poun= ds. It even has a compression horn in it.=C2=A0I was using my Powerblock to= drive it but I have also used=C2=A0an old PA head=C2=A0that weighs as much= as the speaker!=C2=A0 Anyway it is perfect for practice with both the oldi= es =C2=A0Rock-N-Roll and wven the Surf band I am playing with right now. It= amazes everybody, especially me!=20 Can't waite to get the Power Block Back, though. =C2=A0 > >From: JohnL <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Sent: Wed, November 25, 2009 11:00:58 AM >Subject: Re: [Bass Place] Replacement options for 15" custom ported cab? > >=C2=A0=20 >Smokey, > >Why did you replace the stock Fender 12", was it simply to cut down on wei= ght? "Works" is just not good enough for a tone-freak like myself.. Did you= notice a warmer/tighter Bass tone? More clean headroom?
