I have one of these, also purchased new in 1978, and recommend them highly. Huge sound, very playable, gorgeous to behold, and good construction. Mine was sold with a Dimarzio Model 1 humbucking pickup; the only one I know of that didn't use the P-bass stack, but the only change I have made to it over the years is the strings. Excellent bass. -----Original Message----- >From: Thomas <[email protected]> >Sent: Jun 7, 2010 2:06 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: [Bass Place] SD Curlee Standard 2 bass For Sale, poor man's Alembic Long Island > >24 fret dual Dimarzio P-bass pickups, maple neck, mahogany body, Grover tuners, Brass bridge and nut, brass back plates. Bought in 1978, made in the USA, would rather not ship, local pick up preferred. (Long Island) Made in the USA, SD Curlee branded logo on head stock. > >$500 o.b.o ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
