I just found some info that I thought I'd pass along. This is from the manual for the Fishman sonic transducer which is what I ha= ve in=20 my bass: "A pickup in a guitar with less than a 20=C2=B0 break angle will often have= string=20 balance problems as well as poor tone. For such instruments, an adequate bre= ak=20 angle can be realized by "ramping" the string slots" So perhaps all I need to do is adjust the "ramping" of the string slot that= has=20 the problem. Here's a site I found that gives info on that even though it's= for=20 a six string guitar. (see the ramping section at bottom of page.) http://www.bryankimsey.com/bridges/slotted.htm Robert --- In [email protected], Steve Molk <bassmansince62@...> wrote: > > Hope we all were wrong and it is is quick fix, but it "Don't sound good t= a me" >=20 > Smokey >=20 >=20 >=20 >=20 > ________________________________ > From: Robert <robpie@...> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Sun, September 19, 2010 1:44:14 PM > Subject: Re: [Bass Place] AE bass pickup >=20 > =C3=82=C2=A0=20 > Thanks for the replies.
