Could be the nut, Could be a cheapie string. Could be the first fret a litt= le high. Could even be the speaker in the amp or maybe the pick-up and cont= rols.=20 =C2=A0 Guess I'd start with a new set of strings and go from there. Check the clea= rance between the open string and the "F" fret too.=C2=A0 =C2=A0 Not much help. I know, but its a start. =C2=A0 Let us know if yuo come up with anything. =C2=A0 Steve in Cleveland=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 From: robert morris <[email protected]> >To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> >Sent: Sunday, July 31, 2011 2:22 PM >Subject: Re: [Bass Place] Which bass is your favorite bass to play & why? > > >=C2=A0=20 >I'm a guitarist but I recently decided to play bass. But since nobody seems to ever post here too m= uch these days, except for myself & Mark. So I'll throw this out there agai= n & see what happens! My personal favorite bass, in my stable of seven bass= es, is my 1995 G&L L2500. It gives me just about any tone that I want. It's= also pretty light for a five string also. I really love this bass & everyt= hing about it. Also while I'm at it, what bass rig or combo amp does everyb= ody prefer & why also? I have two rigs, an Ampeg USA BA500 combo with a Pea= vey 210 Black widow cab. Thats sounds just like an SVT, but it's also very = heavy! The one I've been using for the last year is my SWR Headlite head th= at weights in at 3.5 lbs & my two GK ultra lite 210 cabs, with each cab wei= ghting in at 30 lbs each. At most gigs though, I only take my SWR head & on= e GK cab. Which make it easy for me to unload, set up & then get out of the= re easily after the gig is finished. For me these days weight is a >very important thing, along with tone & versatility!=20 >> >> >> >> >> > >[Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > >[Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
