My personal favorite bass, in my stable of seven bas= ses, is my 1995 G&L L2500. It gives me just about any tone that I want. It'= s also pretty light for a five string also. I really love this bass & every= thing about it. Also while I'm at it, what bass rig or combo amp does every= body prefer & why also? I have two rigs, an Ampeg USA BA500 combo with a Pe= avey 210 Black widow cab. Thats sounds just like an SVT, but it's also very= heavy! The one I've been using for the last year is my SWR Headlite head t= hat weights in at 3.5 lbs & my two GK ultra lite 210 cabs, with each cab we= ighting in at 30 lbs each. At most gigs though, I only take my SWR head & o= ne GK cab. Which make it easy for me to unload, set up & then get out of th= ere easily after the gig is finished.
