Hi Jonathan,
I have 2 diatonic Seydels and one tremelo. The diatonics are in the key of Low F and D. They play very well. Both have plastic combs and are easy on the lips. The ends are curved similar to a Golden Melody which helps in cupping and gives a nice airtight sound. I would highly recomend them. They are equal or better than a Hohner of similar price ($25-$30)
The tremelo I own is a Sailor which is the lowest tremelo in their line. It has a great sound and is easy to play. Holds up well and stays in tune. I would recomend it to beginning tremelo players or as a second or third harmonica for experienced players who don't want to spend too much for another key. The Celeste sounds better but the Sailor is a little more airtight in my opinion. I have tried the Seydel Fanfare and it really sounds great, plays easily, and is really a professional quality harp. It was a bit out of my price range at the time and I am happy with my Echo (Octave), Golden Melody, and Celeste Tremelos for the music I play. However if you need a pro type tremelo and don't own a good quality tremelo, buy the Fanfare. Hope this helps.
