I am Sam Mok, origin from Hong Kong, living in Mississauga, Ontario Canada over 15 years. I play Chromatic , Tromolo and 10 holes diatonic. However, tromolo is my preference, whereby, I learned it since my junior school and now is at mid 40. I usually play tromolo chromatically in pair. I like to alter the double reeds and single reed within the music in order to make both tones more demonstarting. (eg. I can do bending at single reed , while do chords , Octive, 3rd, 5th at double reeds). This performance style is common amount Asian and Japanese artists. I mainly use Tombo and Suzuki and fews from China, with all the major keys and few minor keys.

I perform hymns and gospel music at Church. I also play a lot of folks, classical and occasional Jazz.

I like to learn Chord and bass harmonica which I have never explored. I really like to join a harmonica band like my school age. It is very unfortunate, I have not been able to find tremolo player in my surrounding area. If any one have the information, appreciate your advice.

Please keep this communication going. I trust tremolo still have a lot of bright future. The beauty has not been explored by many harmonica players, especially in N. Americas. Hope to see the growth.

Best Regards
Sam Mok

hello everybody and greetings from ireland. i have noticed that the
posts on this forum have been a little scarce of late, and i think
that we guys and girls should be doing a little bit more posting and
talking about what we like- the harmonica.
i'm sure there are lots of tremolo,
octave, orchestral, bass etc players there who would like to exchange
views and experiences. so how about it?
i play diatonic, tremolo and octave harmonicas, and
i would love to see posts from other players
                                              dave.
