I know the lower you go, sometimes you get a > rattle. I have a Tombo 1521 (v. expensive, bought before the Celeste came out) in F, and it occasionally does the rattle! Pat Missin told me once that it can be eliminated by expert conditioning of an instrument, considerably more careful work than is available on any mass-production floor. J.E.B.
