Luis,

Nice to have you on the list. The list has been quiet lately. Hopefully
you interest will spice things up a bit. If you mean the gap is too
large on that one reed you can use something like a toothpick and
gently push down on the reed to reduce the gap. FOr more info
on adlusting the gap check out:

There is alot of info there primarlily aimed at the chromatic
player however you as a bass player will find plenty of useful
info as well.

Hello, everyone.

I am new here, just joined because I was lucky enough to receive a
Huang Octave Bass harmonica for Christmas. The instrument was bought
used, but is in pretty good shape. I am having trouble with one of the
reeds, where the offset seems too high and have a hard time getting it
to vibrate. I'm also having some difficulty getting used to the
all-blow nature of the instrument.

My musical tastes are eclectic, but I envision myself playing this in
duets with my brother on guitar or accordion. I'm also interested in
avant-garde, spacy, ambient-type music.

If anyone has any advice about adjusting that one reed, I'd appreciate
it.

Thanks,

Luis
