Hello!! Happy holidays and new year for all!!
Getting a Tombo harmonica is a very, very dificult mission in America. In my country it is dificcult to get any harmonica (including diatonic, chromatic and tremolo). I went to various music stores, and incrediblely i couldn't find a harmonica CD!!!
A few minutes ago i received a call from Japan: a japanese teacher, my wife's friend...She is coming to my city next january, and my wife ask her to buy for me a Tombo Deluxe Band 1521 C flat (i have one in C). Surprise!!! Its price is 90 dollars! i had told her it was about 60 $!!!
I looked at tombo web site, but it says nothing about price...
A guestion: wich is better, tombo 3121 or tombo 1521? Why?
Another one: Do you bend notes on tremolo harmonica?
Last one: Do you use any tablature for your tremolo harmonica music? Or only standard music notation?

Regards,
Isaac

If I'm not mistaken, there is an agreement between Lee Oskar
and Tombo that doesn't allow Tombo to sell their harmonicas
in the US under the Tombo name. So, you'll need to find an
overseas distributor of the fine harps.

Greetings.

As far as I know, Tombo don't have any distributor in N Americas. They suggest to order tremolo harmonica (3121, 3124) directly from them. I have been using Tombo 3121 for years , it is possible the best amount others. I also used Huang Musettes (made in China) for a while, the quality is not very well. I had to do a lot of fine tuning in order to make it resonably good.

Hope my note help a little.

Subject: [big-harmonica] Source of Tombo Tremolos

Folks:

I am certainly glad that I found this group! It isn't easy locating
sources on tremolo/octave harmonicas!

Here is my question: I have a set of Huang Musettes on order (the C
and C# set), and I'd like to pick up a Tombo 3121 or 3124 as well.
One problem - they are next to impossible to find!

I have seen them on Norman's Harmonica Centre site in the U.K., but
he appears to be having some computer problems so I cannot order off
of that resource for the time being. Is anyone aware of an
alternate source of Tombo tremolos that will ship to the U.S.?

Thanks! I look forward to being a part of the group.

Jeremy.
