OK, hello again everyone,

so for Atari ST emulation with bidirectional MIDI, you need Windows with
STeem, Linux with Hatari or MacOS 8.0 for PowerST.

NoSTalgia emulator for OS X Intel only has support for MIDI OUT but no
input.  http://users.skynet.be/sky39147/

MIDI Quest seems to be the only librarian supporting MacOS X. But then you
would have to see how it works for you. On Windows, it's nothing more than
broken software.

On another note, I've got MIDI in/out working with a special version of
DOSbox from their forum on Windows 7 x64. I haven't tried connecting a K5
to my computer so far, but MIDI works and Overtone runs, so we'll probably
have another editor we can use on new PCs.
