its a proper led backlight 5005 lcd replacement module

same chipset

you have to remove the efoil invertor add a current limiting resistor from the 5v source of the efoil invertor to the + voltage of the efoil connector on the psu board

then you can use the original cables that the efoil used on the old display

you have to desolder these from the old display and fit them to the a k connection on the new display

  I'm interested in the LED back light option as well. Is it, possibly, just a matter of hooking up bright LEDs and placing them around the display?
