another question: editor software with sample transference

Maybe a lot of you have work with the Overtone program, didn't you? And you remember that function that allowed to take a "snapshot" of an audio file, and then transfer its information to the k5, creating a very similar harmonic spectrum ... someone knows another program that can do this, or something similar? that would be a POWERFUL assistance to make sounds from the scratch !!!
Another option could be to use the real Overtone running over a DOS emulator ...
I'd be glad to "hear" some opinions.
