Re: another question: editor software with sample transference

i don´t own a k5 synth anymore, just a k5000s and k5000r. but sample
analysis and resynthesis is similar to k5 and k5k. for the k5k there
is sounddiver which can do the job aswell. i have problems with
sounddiver so i can´t really use it anymore. but what i remember is
that resynthesis just works for simple and short static waveforms like
a sawwave for example. i guess it´s the same with that wave analyzer
tool...

if you want to synthesize more complex and living sounds, a
resynthesis "by hand" gives the best results. there are a few software
additive synths out there which can help to understand and analyze a
sound. a lot of sounds are using harmonics which are not falling into
the harmonic table of a k5/k5k....

i suggest to use vertigo software synth for analysis, which does
resynthesis quite good. there should be still a free demo version out
there for you...

however the k5000 is better for such things. it has formant filters
and envelopes for each harmonic. and 6 voices are available...
