Hi,

Yep, the .NET-based wave analyser takes only short samples. It asks for 
the sample position you want to analyze. It's been a long time I've used 
Overtone's sample analyzer, but it's much better than that. I think you 
can analyse more than just a part of the sample. What I know though is 
that you can extract the sample's envelope.

By the way, Overtone might work on computers with a joystick port on the 
mainboard. There's sometimes MPU-401-compatible MIDI on these through 
the port in question.
