All I know is that it comes from Kawai UK and we first heard about it in 
2004. Kawai US and Kawai of Japan are not aware that ROM v1.3 exists. I 
can confirm that it works and that there are differences between 1.2 and 
1.3 by comparing the hex files. If you can burn a chip yourself, the ROM 
file is in the files section of the group.

Sorry, I can't get anything from Kawai US and Kawai of Japan about ROM 
differences except the major stuff :

V1.0 - power on with Single mode.
V1.1 - power on with Multi mode.
V1.2 - power on with Multi mode + additional parameters.

There must be bug fixes with newer versions since the K5 I upgraded 
doesn't need to be reset all the time anymore. (Unsoldering and 
resoldering the lithium battery)
