PowerST seems to have bi-directional MIDI support.

However, it runs on OS classic and I don't know if Apple put MIDI 
support when running these programs in OS X. Also, it's probably only 
working with PowerPC processors. Anyone tried STeem on Wine (it works in 
OS X) or XSteem directly in OS X?
