We have pretty much all the known K5 editors in the library. (well, I think
there might be one rare one we don't have. Very few K5's have working
backlights. None of mine do. In many ways, the K5 is a great synth, although
it is more cerebral than the K5000s, which gives you that gut-level knob
tweaking experience.  The layering ability of the K5 is superior to the
K5000s IMHO, as it produces some really rich sounds, I don't think heavy
layering really produces great sounds on the K5000.

As far as the modulation of the harmonics & odd harmonics, you can AM four
different groups of harmonics, but not LFO them, however, you can pitch
modulate one oscillator and not modulate the other, or use the loop function
in the pitch envelope to modulate each oscillator however you want. Another
interesting thing is to use full mode instead of twin, and tune the second
osc down a few octaves, that will get you some interesting  noise sounds.
You can get some pretty cool sounds. Check out my small library I uploaded
recently & of course, download Les's new K5 resynthesis program, that is
quite a powerful and interesting tool.
