Cold solder joints inside the inverter, which is filled with epoxy. (Can't be fixed.) There's a JKL inverter that has the same specs, but a different form factor. It's possible to use it. I can't tell you the model number right now, but it's somewhere on kfuenf.org . I switched on my K5 and left it on for a while (~1 hour) and everything was ok... then I switched it off and on a few times, the backlight was ok... it seems the inverter is not dead, it's just unreliable... anyway... what's the replacement for this 'nichia' white inverter? --- In [email protected], "somethingkillingyou" <somethingkillingyou@...> wrote: > > new backlight bought and installed; the display was working fine, then after a few seconds (less than a minute for sure), backlight gone again... > ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
