for, but it's a starting point... saves you some time with envelopes/lfo 
times... for amplitude values, you have to check for yourself... you may want to 
use a vst audio analyzer...

anyway using a noise gate (vst or the real thing) with your k5 and k5m will 
definitely solve 'floor noise' problems in non-playing parts... instead, the 
poor SNR produces a particular sound, that I actually think it's part of these 
old synths' fashion! of course a noise gate won't eliminate the noise that gets 
summed with the signal, but in the mix you won't notice that too much at all... 
unless you use your k5 for piano piece music (?!?)...

besides my K5, I also have a K1m, a K4r and a K3... noise-wise, the K5 is the 
worst one, the K1 being a close second, because 8-bit samples are noisy and have 
poor dynamic resolution... and it is k1's strongest sonic quality!!! lots of 
character and actually produces some mellotronic and (...breathy) vocal sounds 
very well...

all kawai synths (except maybe the old analogs and the k5000) suffer from bad 
SNR, but they're cool anyway, and they're perfectly usable and have been used in 
professional recordings of course I think... only that musicians/studios won't 
tell you they did, because kawai = cheap...
you just have to use some extra gear (or vst) to have more hi-fi quality when 
needed.
