Hi everyone,

I was able to get the MIDI connection working reliably with my laptop (my G5 Mac is still kind of erratic) and was able to create and transfer some patches with K5Edit; Kfuenf is working too. Unfortunately, while I was trying out various MIDI programs I accidentally deleted the bank containing those scrambled patches! Oh well, if I come up with any more good ones I'll pass them on...

The Seiko DS-202 rig arrived yesterday; the keyboard is having power problems (I think), but the DS-310 is working OK with the DS-101. I think it could work well as a companion synth to the K5; their sound qualities would fit well together, and the Seiko would be good for experimenting with partials before doing more complex work on the K5.

Chris
