Is the Karma any good to...

produce good strings, good accoutic piano, Rhodes, B3, brass and
drums...
I mean If we remove all the Karma's bells ans whitles, does it still
produce good conventionnals samplings? Does it have good basic sounds?
I wanna hear what is has "in the heart" before buying one!
It's easy to answer "yes" so If you answer YES, please give a link to
a soundclip!
If you answer "NO" please tell me what you think would be a better
choice for about the same today's street price ('bout 1500)
