Re: Is the Karma any good to... Let's avoid a "Gear War"...

Those demos don't do anything for me.  The musicality may be more 
professional, but the only instrument that shone for me was the 
flute, but to my ears, it can't touch the MOSS flutes.  If you want 
more professionally produced Karma demos, here's a link for you.

You can also go to KARMA LAB http://www.karma-lab.com/ and click on 
Karma then "Audio Demos". Any of those demos will certainly showcase 
the Karma.  Go also to the Chemistry demos.  All of the above are 
more in line with my sonic tastes. 

I've played the Motif thoroughly in a variety of settings going 
through every preset time and again thinking maybe it was just the 
conditions on the previous auditions, but I always come away 
thinking what's the rave all about.  I've listened to all the demos 
in the Motifator Listening Room and I come up with the same 
evaluation.  Why?  Because as I said in the previous post it's all a 
matter of perception and subjectivity. 

For every demo link that is posted to support one device over 
another, there will always follow a counter link.  Music is an art.  
It is open to a myriad of interpretations and appreciations.  This 
guarantees that there will be differences. You like the Motif; I 
like the Karma.  Someone else may like neither of our choices and 
prefer something else - the Roland Fantom X, for example. So, let's 
agree to disagree.

But, one question:  Why post derogatory comments about a particular 
instrument in a forum dedicated to that instrument?  That would be 
like going into a mosque telling the worshippers that there is 
better religion over at your church.  Not wise.

PS: Those "amateur" demos were unrehearsed improvisations played and 
recorded live in real time.  There was no sequencing or post 
production whatsoever.
